Dr. Borgstrom is the only Certified TPI Medical Level 2 in Galveston County
TPI experts have spent more than 15 years using more than 50,000 golfers to study one thing - the body-swing connection. Those years of study and the knowledge gained from the elite and amateur golfers alike have been concentrated into several multi-level certification courses.
To become a TPI Certified Professional, the professional must attend 16 hours of lecture and hands-on training geared to create a well-honed golf-fitness foundation. Prospective instructors must pass a comprehensive internet-based examination, with an 80% or better grade, to earn the level 1 certification.
The TPI LEVEL 1 workshop consists of 16 physical screens, 12 major swing characteristics and multiple exercise protocols utilizing over 65 exercises. Students learn how to quickly identify any physical limitations that may be causing a player's swing inefficiencies and master simple solutions to get them back on track.
LEVEL 2 TPI Certified Medical Professional: Classes will focus on Golf Specific Injuries and Injury Inducing Swing Mechanics, Advanced Swing Faults, Wrist and Ankle physical screening procedures, and learning the detailed medical evaluation called the "SFMA - Selective Functional Movement Assessment".
