B.W. - For decades I've dealt with chronic pain (6 bulged discs). I had seen chiropractors 15 years ago and I've had my fair share of physical therapy over the years. My experience with chiropractors 15 years ago was not a positive one and I had steered clear of them until an orthopedic doctor suggested I see Dr. Borgstrom. The first thing I noticed was how different the office layout was compared to what I'd experienced in the past. The setup in the main room was very similar to what you'd see at a physical therapy clinic. After an initial discussion I was surprised to find out that Dr. Borgstrom was recommending a number of things I could do to get my body functioning again. It wasn't just, "come here 50 times and I'll adjust you" There were physical therapy exercises, instruction in body posture, deep tissue therapy, etc. Why didn't one of the other 12 doctors I saw tell me I'm supposed to keep my weight on my heels!! Just that one bit of instruction has saved my a lot of pain when I'm in a situation where I have to stand for long periods. My favorite part of the visit is the use of the Graston tool. I really can't say enough good things about this tool. It is basically an acutely targeted deep tissue massage exactly where you need it. Having done the graston work the following adjustments are much more successful than what I had experienced in the past. Most of the time I'm nearly without pain. I am also able to do things at 42 that would have been extremely painful at 25. Even though it was not suggested, I plan on going at least once a month even if I feel perfectly fine.
C.N. - For 7 years I had dealt with (and somewhat accepted) low back pain as a result of helping a friend move. Periodically, I would re-injure the area of my lower back, and finally took my wife's advice and selected Dr. Kai Borgstrom due to his very close proximity to home. After 3-4 Graston massages, adjustments and exercises, I'm beginning to feel somewhat like I did pre-house move injury! It's too early yet to say all is resolved, but the latest pain I went to him for is definitely gone - the residual, 7 year lower back weakness and pain are definitely improving!
